For an important assignment within the public sector, I am looking for an experienced and proactive Information Security Officer (ISO) to drive the development and enforcement of information security policies in alignment with evolving regulatory standards such as NIS2, BIO, and ISO 27001.

The client is a prominent governmental organisation operating in a complex, high-stakes digital environment. With growing exposure to cyber threats and stringent compliance requirements, they are seeking an ISO who can take ownership of security governance, risk management, and policy execution across the organisation.
Functie
As the Information Security Officer, you will be the strategic and operational lead for information security. Your responsibilities include performing risk assessments, updating and enforcing security policies, coordinating incident response, and ensuring compliance with national and international security frameworks. You will act as a key advisor to senior leadership and collaborate closely with IT, legal, privacy, and audit teams to embed security into the organisation’s core processes.
Functie-eisen
- 5+ years of experience in information security or IT risk management;
- Strong knowledge of ISO 27001/2, BIO, GDPR, and ideally NIS2;
- Experience developing and implementing ISMS frameworks;
- Familiarity with tools for risk analysis, incident reporting, and compliance tracking;
- Ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders with clear communication;
- Proven track record of working independently and delivering results in complex environments;
- Fluency in Dutch is preferred.
